ICLHE 2013: Integrating Content and Language in Higher Education
11 – 13 April 2013, Maastricht, the Netherlands.
First Call for Papers
Maastricht University is pleased to host ICLHE 2013, a conference that specifically addresses issues affecting the interface between content and language in higher education (see attached flyer).
In an increasingly competitive higher education landscape, universities have been offering many programmes at bachelor’s and master’s level in other languages, especially but not only in English. ICLHE 2013 aims to address issues affecting policy, practice, design and quality of this educational environment.
ICLHE 2013 in particular focuses on five themes: ICLHE Policy; English-medium instruction: implementation, tension, constraints; ICLHE language issues; ICLHE content issues; and ICLHE theory.
Keynote speakers: Prof. François Grin (University of Geneva, Switzerland), Prof. Mary-Yoko Brannen (Victoria University, Canada), Dr Cecilia Jacobs (University of Stellenbosch, South Africa).
